DUI Picking Up Kid From School

On February 24th, 2023, officers responded to a 911 emergency. The caller advised that a parent had picked up their child from school and sped off in their vehicle in a disoriented manner. The caller followed the vehicle to their home and tried to contact the parents, but they didn’t want to talk. The female continued to act in an agitated manner. She kept abusing the officers and wasn’t ready to comply at all. The female tried to push the senior officer after which she was transported to the police unit. She continued to abuse and scream at the officers while being transported to jail. She showed no signs of stopping her abusive attitude towards the officers. The woman continued to behave rudely toward the police, refusing to comply with their orders at all. She wasn’t willing to come out of the police unit at all. The woman finally complied and walked inside the police department with the female officer. The female was charged with resisting arrest, aggravated battery upon a peace officer, reckless driving and endangering the life of a child.
