Rivalry and competition are part of life... in fact, they're one of the best parts of life. Often it's the competitions we find ourselves in that push us to be better people. At the same time, competition in industry seems to operate a little different. It's a bit more cut throat, and lacks the insight of making anyone or anything better. In many industries, competition seems to be about winning regardless of the outcome. The great exception I see is the cigar industry.

The constant threat of industry crushing regulations and oppression has created an atmosphere of brotherhood in the cigar world.
