As they sit down with a pint (or two) in hand, Jake regales Stephen with tales of his childhood growing up in Washington state, split between the small town of Humptulips and the bustling city of Seattle.

Jake then takes Stephen through his journey into the world of real estate, which he entered in the midst of the 2008 financial crisis. He shares his experiences navigating the ups and downs of the industry, from dealing with skeptical clients to dodging foreclosure notices. Along the way, they discuss everything from the evolution of Seattle's tech scene to their shared love of 90's grunge music and comedy.

But it's not all serious talk - Jake also shares some ridiculous stories about his personal life, including getting arrested in Mexico for driving a golf cart drunk (because, why not?) and getting urged by the owners of Laughs Comedy Club to try his hand at stand-up comedy.
