Special Inspector (1938)

"Special Inspector," also known as "Across the Border," is a 1938 Canadian-American crime film directed by Leon Barsha. The plot follows U.S. Customs Service special inspector Tom Evans (Charles Quigley) as he partners with the British Columbia Provincial Police to capture a gang smuggling furs from Canada into the United States. Evans goes undercover at a trucking company, but his cover is blown, putting his life in danger. The film also stars Rita Hayworth as Patricia Lane and George McKay as Sergeant Kelly.
