How to Operate Your Brain [1994]

This is a classic countercultural video released by Dr. Tim Leary in 1994. It uses sensory overstimulation to induce a trance-like receptive state in the viewer while discussing philosophical concepts around issues of personal sovereignty and epistemology. It is largely concerned with the insidious normalisation of people's worldviews through institutionalised authority and orthodoxy, causing them to abdicate reason and critical thought and to value the assertions of presumptive authority over their own dirc perceptions of reality, thereby conforming and complying without question. Think for yourself. Question authority.
