"East of Piccadilly" (released in the US as "The Strangler") is a 1941 British mystery film directed by Harold Huth. The plot follows Penny Sutton, a young crime reporter who investigates a series of murders in London's Soho district, where women are being strangled with silk stockings. With the help of a mystery novelist, she races against time to unmask the killer and bring them to justice. The film stars Judy Campbell as Penny Sutton, Sebastian Shaw as Tamsie Green, and Niall MacGinnis as Joe.
