Hitting the Unhittable Note -222

I think a lot of the problem here is the verbiage. What does it mean to "match" colors? What does "impossible to match" or "literally match" mean? ...You comment that: "...none of the lightest notes in my still life matched the values I saw in nature. They were impossible to match." ,,,Why would that be? My inner scientist is creeping out. Color is just a wavelength of light. If you see it, it's in the visible spectrum. If it's in the visible spectrum, there is some combination of pigments that will yield the same wavelength to your eye. You ought to be able to paint it.

Here is an idea. I'll send you a photo and the painting I did from the photo. It's the latest piece I've done, and probably the best rendering I've achieved. I know that painting from photos is anathema to you, but I'm willing to learn from it. Critique it in a video if you would like, no holds barred. The painting and the photo are attached to this email. If this is not a workable idea, just skip it.At least you'll see what level I'm coming from.
