Milk popsicles are a delightful and simple treat perfect for cooling off on a hot day. Here's a basic recipe to make milk popsicles:
Basic Milk Popsicles
Ingredients:
2 cups of milk (any type: whole, skim, almond, soy, etc.)
2to 4 tablespoons of sweetener (sugar, honey, maple syrup, or your preferred sweetener)
Optional additions:
1 teaspoon vanilla extract or other flavorings
Fresh fruit (like strawberries or blueberries) or chocolate chips for added texture
Instructions:
Mix the Ingredients:
In a mixing bowl, combine the milk and your chosen sweetener. Stir until the sweetener is completely dissolved.
If using, add vanilla extract or other flavorings and stir well.
Prepare the Popsicle Molds:
Pour the milk mixture into popsicle molds, leaving a little space at the top for expansion as they freeze.
If adding fruit or chocolate chips, distribute them evenly in the molds before pouring in the milk mixture.
Insert Sticks:
Place the popsicle sticks into the molds. If your molds have a top with built-in sticks, simply put the top on.
Freeze:
Place the molds in the freezer and freeze for at least 4 to 6 hours, or until the popsicles are completely frozen.
Unmold the Popsicles:
To remove the popsicles from the molds, run warm water over the outside of the molds for a few seconds to loosen them.
Enjoy:
Your milk popsicles are ready to enjoy! If not eating immediately, store them in an airtight container or a zip-top bag in the freezer.
Variations
Chocolate Milk Popsicles: Add 2 to 3 tablespoons of cocoa powder to the milk mixture for a chocolaty treat.
Fruit Swirl Popsicles: Blend a cup of fresh fruit with a little sugar and layer it with the milk mixture in the molds.
Coconut Milk Popsicles: Use coconut milk instead of regular milk for a tropical flavor.
