Attacking Fellow Police Officer Goes Horribly Wrong For Sergeant

On November 19th, 2021, officers were dispatched in reference to a battery in progress. The caller reported that a man was swinging at multiple people in a grocery store and behaving in a very aggressive manner. They also reported that he had hit three elderly people, one of whom couldn't walk properly. The suspect continued to run away from the officers. Meanwhile, other officers took statements from the victim and the witnesses. He hurled racial slurs at the firefighters and refused their assistance. Soon, in a fit of rage, one of the officers grabbed a female officer by the neck. The victim's daughter recounted the incident to one of the officers. Shortly after, the suspect was taken to the hospital. We do not have the details about the suspect or the charges pressed on him but the senior officer was charged with battery upon a peace officer and tampering with evidence.
