In Jeremiah 5:2, YAH speaks about wicked Israelites who swear by Him but swear falsely; such Israelites are just as common now as they were in Jeremiah's day. Isaiah 29:13 "...YAH has said, This people (Israel) draw nigh to Me with their mouth, and they honour Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me: but in vain do they worship Me, teaching the commandments and doctrines of men." In Genesis 18:32, YAH told Abraham that He would spare Sodom for 10 righteous and in Jeremiah 5:1, He tells Jeremiah that He'd spare Jerusalem for one who executed judgment and sought truth. But one could not be found. YAH also expresses this in Ezekiel 22:30-31 "I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before Me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none. Therefore have I poured out Mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of My wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, says YAH ALMIGHTY." Jerusalem was worse than Sodom. In the parable against Jerusalem, in Ezekiel 16:46-47, YAH says, "your elder sister is Samaria (the capital of the northern kingdom of Israel), she and her daughters that dwell at your left hand: and your younger sister, that dwells at your right hand, is Sodom and her daughters. Yet have you (Jerusalem) not walked after their ways, nor done after their abominations: but, as if that were a very little thing, you were corrupted more than they in all your ways." After YAH destroyed Jerusalem and the Second Temple in 70 C.E., the Israelites were exiled from the land and we (the black slave descendants/Israelites) remain in exile/captivity unto this day (2024 C.E.); this is the final captivity of Israel but also the longest as it has spanned almost 2000 years. But it will end someday and, when it does, that is just the beginning -- the end of this world is the beginning of ours.
