Michigan has its first positive mosquito samples for the Jamestown Canyon virus

Health officials say mosquitoes collected from Saginaw County tested positive for the virus. The virus spreads when mosquitoes feed on infected deer or other animals and then bite humans. Symptoms of the virus include fever, headache, and fatigue. In rare cases, the virus can affect the brain or spinal cord.
