Benjamin Netanyahu landed in Washington on Monday, July 22 amid a tumultuous political situation in the country after Biden opted to drop out of the presidential election and an assassination attempt on Republican leader Donald Trump.
International Criminal Court Chief Prosecutor Karim Khan requested arrest warrants for Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant on May 20 for war crimes and crimes against humanity in the Gaza Strip.
The prosecutor also requested warrants for three of the Hamas’ top leaders, including its chief, Ismail Haniyeh.
