Impact (1949)

"Impact" is an American film noir drama released in 1949, directed by Arthur Lubin. The plot revolves around Walter Williams, a wealthy industrialist, whose wife, Irene, and her lover plot to kill him. However, their plan goes awry, and Irene's lover is killed in a car accident while Walter survives, suffering from amnesia. He adopts a new identity and starts a new life, seeking solace in a small town and falling in love with a kind woman. Meanwhile, Irene is accused of murdering Walter and stands trial. The film explores themes of revenge, redemption, and the consequences of betrayal.
