"Quicksand" is an American film noir released in 1950, directed by Irving Pichel. The plot follows Dan Brady, a young auto mechanic who borrows $20 from his employer's cash register to impress a woman. When he's unable to repay the money, he falls deeper into a spiral of crime and desperation, making increasingly risky choices to cover his tracks. The film stars Mickey Rooney as Dan Brady, Jeanne Cagney as Vera Novak, and Peter Lorre as Nick Dramoshag.
