Please Murder Me (1956)
"Please Murder Me" is an American film noir thriller released in 1956, directed by Peter Godfrey. The plot follows Craig Carlson (Raymond Burr), a lawyer who successfully defends his client Myra Leeds (Angela Lansbury) on a murder charge. After her acquittal, Myra reveals that she did, in fact, commit the crime. Consumed by guilt, Carlson hatches a plan to make Myra kill him and get caught, ensuring that justice is ultimately served.
