Summary:
Many believers think Jesus refers to the rapture in the Olivet Discourse of Matthew 24. Jesus is, in fact, talking about the last days and tribulation, not the rapture. The reason it is so important to rightly divide the Word of Truth per 2 Timothy 2:15 is because it leads to confusion. We cannot mix doctrine intended for the national salvation program offer to Israel, and the message of salvation by grace through faith that is being offered to the world today. As we shall see in today’s message, the one taken is taken in wrath!

Takeaway:
The event of the rapture has already occurred at least seven years prior to the coming of the Son of Man in Matthew 24. These are two separate events: in the first, we are caught up to meet the Lord in the air; in the second, the Lord returns to the earth with us. He destroys the enemies of God in His wrath, and he sets up His throne in Jerusalem, where he restores His people, Israel to be the nation of priests they were meant to be.

There are two folds in the church: one is Israel, the other is the gentile church. The Lord will rapture the Gentile church first, then gather His elect of Israel after He returns. He will separate nations in Matthew 25 to go into the kingdom, and Israel will be the royal priesthood to teach all nations for 1,000 years. Don’t be taken in wrath! Trust Christ as your Savior today and be delivered from the wrath to come.
