Today marks day 168 of my sobriety journey, and I found myself listening to the incredible remix of Billie Eilish's "Bad Guy" featuring Ren, created by Jointdale Records.

Before hitting play, I took a moment to talk about something real—missing the high from drugs. It's not about missing the chaos or the fallout, but just the pure, sweet escape of the high. It’s like reminiscing about an ex with whom you had a fantastic sex life, but the rest of the relationship was a nightmare. You miss the good parts, but not the crazy. This is how I feel about drugs; I miss the high but not the negative aspects that come with it.

Sobriety isn’t boring to me. It’s just that life has its ups and downs, twists and turns, and I’m navigating it all without the substances I once used to regulate my feelings. It's a new experience, and it's tough sometimes, but I’m staying the course.

Listening to this remix was a highlight. I stumbled upon Jointdale Records and they create some amazing remixes of Ren and other artists. This track, in particular, was a joy to listen to, and I’m excited to explore more of their music.
