Our viewer gets told by a "friend" that because the government provides you with your social security payment (that you only qualify for if YOU have paid for it already) that the money isn't really yours and that you need to live in the United States and spend your money there. Since all Americans who retire get social security, this implies that all Americans have no rights or freedoms to ever travel or live abroad and suggests that no one should have the right to buy foreign made products. This is a crazy notion and goes against everything American, or even just ethical or logical. How could someone even manage to live this way?

Even if you determined that social security WAS from taxes, which it is not at all (the opposite, tax shortfalls are often made up from social security funds!) it would never, ever imply any such limitations.
