Before undergoing procedures such as epidural injections or surgery for degenerated discs, stenosis, cauda equina inflammation, or herniated discs, it's crucial to understand the underlying causes. Viruses, lack of oxygen and exercise, and trauma can contribute to these conditions. Don't dismiss these issues as just a part of life or aging. Demand explanations from healthcare providers before agreeing to any treatments. Ask for laboratory tests and imaging to determine WHY the problem is occurring, not just WHAT the problem is. The causes, such as cytokines, interleukins, and viruses, need to be clearly explained. Ultimately, the goal is to create a life worth living.
