Eli's Failure as a Father

In his Sunday School lesson Bro. Jade begins a two-part lesson series about Eli's failure to handle his two sons biblically. We see that Hophni and Phinehas, Eli's two sons, were wicked, and he did reprove them. Then we see that the Lord provided Eli warnings from an unnamed prophet and Samuel of His coming judgment. Then, we see that, although we don't know too well how Eli raised his two sons, we see a dangerous pattern of someone who neglected the will of God regarding the punishment of his two sons, and who enabled them to commit open wickedness in positions of authority.
