Sorry for the lack of videos, I took a break from everything Internet. Lets just say, too much for one mind. Anyways, thought I would start out where I left off, only this time, you are introduced to "Dark City" by Barney Fife, the Sherrife of Mayberry. Why you may ask? Because life is too short to not sprinkle in some silly bits inbetween. Enjoy the video!

Well, golly! Let me tell you all about this movie called "Dark City." It’s a real doozy, I tell ya. Now, you see, this here film was made back in 1998 by a fellow named Alex Proyas. He's the one behind the camera, directing all the action.

The Plot
Now, the story is all about a fella named John Murdoch, played by Rufus Sewell. Poor John wakes up in a hotel room with no memory of who he is or how he got there. Turns out, he's being chased for some terrible murders he doesn’t remember committing. Talk about a predicament! As he tries to figure things out, he discovers some mighty strange goings-on in the city.

The Strangers
There are these creepy fellas called the Strangers. They’re some sort of alien beings, and they have the power to control the whole darn city. Every night at midnight, they put everyone to sleep and change things around—people's memories, the city’s layout, everything! It's like playing musical chairs with folks' lives. Just think about it, Aunt Bee could wake up one morning and not remember she's a cook, but instead, think she's a schoolteacher!

The Cast
The movie's got a great cast, too. Besides Rufus Sewell as John Murdoch, you've got Kiefer Sutherland playing Dr. Daniel Schreber, Jennifer Connelly as Emma Murdoch, and William Hurt as Inspector Frank Bumstead. It’s like having all of Mayberry’s finest in one big show!

Filming Location
Now, as for where they filmed this picture, it was shot down under at Fox Studios in Sydney, Australia. They built all these intricate sets to create that eerie, ever-changing city.

The Theories
There are some deep, thinkin’ folks who say "Dark City" is a metaphor for modern society. Just like how the Strangers control everything in the city, some folks feel like their lives are controlled by big corporations and governments. People start to wonder about their own identity and reality, just like John Murdoch does.

Barney's Take
To me, it’s kind of like if the whole town of Mayberry was being run by those creepy Strangers. Imagine if they were changing things around every night—one day you’re the sheriff’s deputy, and the next day you’re running the local diner with no recollection of ever being a deputy. It’s a mighty strange thought, but that’s what makes the movie so fascinating.

Conclusion
