He tells the fate of Ukrainian prisoners who had been in German SS Divisions when they were ‘repatriated’. They never got more than a few steps off the train that brought them ‘home’ before they were machine gunned by the Red Army.
In less than two weeks time his machine gun company went from 160 men to a mere handful of 15 soldiers. He had nothing but scorn for the treatment he and other prisoners were given after the war – by Americans. He is not the first to make such claims.
