Today on Elephant in the Room, at 3:00 pm on Facebook, Humphrey and Bobby Cleveland will be joined by Kendra Wesson, who is a board member for the State Board of Education. We will be discussing State Superintendent Ryan Walters’ executive order to place Bibles and the Ten Commandments in all state schools. Several schools have openly defied Walters and said they will not follow his orders. State Attorney General Gentner Drummond has weighed in opposing Walters. We will also talk about how the House has completely defied all of Superintendent Walters’ initiatives and how they have used subpoenas, investigations, and legislation to attack his agenda. If time allows we will also bring up how legislation was filed to return the Ten Commandments to our classrooms but was stopped by House leadership.
