1 Corinthians 14:2
[2] For one who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God; for no one understands, but in his spirit he speaks mysteries

Speaking in tongues is a form of communication that is intended to be between the individual and God!!

Not to be confused with a simple view of conveying a message to others...

Speaking in tongues should be more of a personal, spiritual experience!!

That communication is understood only by God and involves spiritual mysteries that are not readily comprehensible to others!
