Chris is a professional photographer with more than 25 years of service in the United States Army. He is currently a Tennessee Governor’s Veteran Fellow working on military and veteran initiatives for the State of Tennessee.

Chris has spent much of his life outdoors, exploring the world around us. He discovered photography while working as a print journalist, and years as a public affairs officer allowed him to develop his style as he captured imagery in a variety of challenging environments. Over the years, a hobby turned into a passion.

Chris likes to capture images that inspire his audience to want to know more about the subject, or to get out and see a sight in person. He likes to share his world with others and immortalize memories through photographs.

Chris has contributed photographs to a variety of print and online sources. He and his wife, Sarah, co-founded Grid Square Recon, LLC, which aims to help military families find a sense of belonging wherever they are through community explorations of the areas surrounding military installations.
