From Nate: "Inspired by the plight of the Krogan aliens from the Mass Effect video games, 'Demilitarized' is the third single from our upcoming Element Zero project. Very early on, Jordan and I had a robust debate about the ethics of a biological weapon used in the games against the Krogan. We had planned from the beginning to write a Krogan themed song and the conversation inspired me to write the lyrics from the Krogans' perspective. I thought 'if I was one of their leaders, how would I feel about this treatment of my people.' So that's what the song is about. Of course, I don't endorse everything the fictional aliens do, but I am very happy with the way the song captures our band's 'don't tread on me' ethos."
