Andora mystery (Santuario de Meritxell)

Santuario de Meritxell a sanctuary dedicated to Andorra’s patron saint, Our Lady of Meritxell. The original Romanesque church was destroyed by fire in 1972, but a new, modern basilica was built in its place. However, the origins of the venerated statue of the Virgin Mary found in the sanctuary remain a mystery.
