Invasive Bush-honeysuckle: Mechanical Removal (pt. 4) - Cutting and Treating the Stump

This video is the 4th video in the series that goes over the initial treatment of bush-honeysuckle removal. This portion continues after the smaller stems have been pulled out using the Pullerbear tool, and what is left are the ones that were to big, or to rootbound to pull out of the ground. Now all that is left is to cut them down to the ground level, leaving about an inch or so of stub if possible above ground in order to keep from dulling the chainsaw blade, and treating the cambium of the shrub's stump.

*please note - anytime you are using chemicals it is important to protect yourself from exposure. Also you should follow safety and application recommendations on the bottle. This product is meant to kill the roots, so if you spill it on the ground, or use it in a fashion that is dangerous or not recommended, it can cause unintended harm to the trees, plants and wildlife in the area. In extreme cases can contaminate the ground water. This is why whenever possible I try to avoid using chemical treatments all together.
