The Interview [2011]

I don't claim copyright to this short film. It seems to be pretty obscure, and I think that's unfortunate because it's hilarious.

In a nutshell, the last man on Earth goes to interview for a job from the second-to-last man alive. This absurdist premise ought to be reason enough to watch. It speaks to people's peculiarly unreasoning rigidity and bloody-mindedness in a way that's even more apt today than when it was made--a true lampooning of the "jobsworth" mentality.
