THE JUDAS GOAT…A WARNING TO AFRICANS!

Here you can see what’s known as a Judas Goat: it’s a goat trained in animal herding. The sheep learn to trust and follow it, and are then led to the slaughter by it. The goat gets to live, of course - and lead the next batch of unwitting sheep to their deaths. The cynicism of the slaughterhouse can also be seen in politics…

Take certain African leaders like Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Nigeria and William Ruto in Kenya - who are really nothing more than neocolonial clerks. They earn the trust of the electorate with empty promises and lead citizens down the path of IMF austerity to economic slaughter: tax hikes, privatisation, liberalisation of labour laws, removal of protectionist policies, cuts to healthcare… none of which hurt the old goat in his presidential barn while his Western sponsors pet him.

In the US, figures like Barack Obama fit the bill.

People followed Obama because of the message of hope and change he campaigned on - but he did little for Black people in the US compared with the mountains he moved for the big banks that caused the 2008 Financial crisis, or for the military-industrial complex: America’s first Black president is responsible for turning Libya from Africa’s wealthiest country into a failed state with open slave markets.
