Dave's Reaction: mgk & Jelly Roll — Lonely Road

Dave and I had seen a podcast where mgk was a guest and we both liked him, he seemed like a cool person. So when I saw that he had a new song out with Jelly Roll I thought I'd get Dave's take.

This song had one strike against it as soon as it started. Apparently Dave is not a big fan of John Denver's original "Country Roads." I had no idea!

Also the second strike comes courtesy of auto tune. Dave is familiar with Jelly Roll and his voice and is annoyed that they would process it at all. The man can sing and needs no help. At all.

In the end he doesn't hate it, but the tweaking is a huge turn off for him.

Stop auto tuning people who don't need it!
