Society's unpreparedness for the truth: Why people refuse to accept the truth about climate change

History has repeatedly shown us that being ahead of your time can often have unpredictable consequences. Since the authors of the documentary touched on Russia, let's remember, for example, Vladimir Zhirinovski, a politician whose forecasts were often ahead of time, and whose truthful statements about the climate boldly resonated with the public. Or consider the recent example of the organization AllatRa, which was also ahead of its time, daring to speak the truth about catastrophic climate change in Russia that threatened the whole world. What happened to his story? In Russia and Ukraine, on orders from Russia, AllatRa was silenced and brutally persecuted, which shamefully trampled on freedom of speech and human rights in those countries. At the behest of certain representatives of the Russian authorities, a repressive apparatus was launched in AllatRa. This is a flagrant act of suppressing the truth and persecuting those who dare to challenge the untruth. Both Mr. Zhirinovsky and AllatRa participants sounded the alarm about a major climate catastrophe in Russia and the world. They were ignored. They were silenced. They were misunderstood. Why? Because society was not ready for the bitter truth.
