Not Myself by John Mayer is incredibly from his Brilliant first album, Room For Squares, and even more amazing is the fact that this Song about his Relationship with God, as Thy Father is the ONLY ONE who stills Knows Us, Trusts Us, and Loves Us, even when we are NOT Ourselves...

As you listen to this Great Song, listen for clues as to whom John Mayer is singing this song to, he was 20 when he wrote it, so a line like,

'Suppose I said
I am on my best behavior
But there are times
I lose my worried mind...'

...is unexpectedly Brilliant, as he is talking about leaving his Creative, Feeling Right Brain, for the Left Hemisphere, where the EGO exists, which is our ONLY Thinking Brain, where, thru Fear, we get ourselves into Endless Problems, and this is what Mayer meant by 'I lose my Worried Mind'...he is losing Control of the Mind, back over to the EGO, who always Rules thru FEAR, and this is when we are NOT OURSELVES...

The Heavenly Right Brain vs. the Hellish Left Brain, is the same as Good vs. Evil, Right vs. Wrong, Within vs. Without, Above vs. Below, Casting thy Net to the Right Side of our Vessels vs. Falling into Temptation...

And the Final Line that gives the Identity of whom Mayer is singing to, comes thru the Song's Final Verse, which is sung Slowly, which less instrumentation and much Silence, as if TELLING us that he is Speaking to God, Within Himself...

'And I

I always do for you
Suppose I said
You're my saving grace...'

And the ONLY ONE who Gives us the necessary 'Time' to 'Come Back All the Way Around', once more, is God...and we Always do, lift ourselves Out of the Hole the Left Brain Ego Digs for us, as we return Back Home to Father Heaven, our SAVING GRACE!

So, take your time with this Beautiful and Truthful Song, and Come to See that what John Mayer actually Created was a Song of Thank You to God, for being the ONE, who Always Waits for us to come along and finally See the Light...and this is a POWERFUL LESSON that each of us Must Come to Learn over time, or our Lives run the Risk of ending up in complete Disaster, without God being Front and Center, Within us...

This is for The Father, the One who Created Us, Who Knows Us, and will Wait for Us to Change, and then Loving give to us Forgiveness and then Sweet, Sweet Salvation...
