Time traveler to Galilee

Fictional story about a devote Christian who invents a time and goes back to encounter Jesus. The Time Machine idea was based on the story of “mad man Michael Marcum’s” time machines that he had claimed to have built before he went missing. This was an Art Bell story on Coast to Coast AM many years ago. The storyline is of course entirely fictional.
