Shop Manager Demands Action from PSNI After Belfast Street Disorder
During a special meeting of the Belfast City Council, shop manager Bashir passionately addressed the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) following the street disorder on Saturday. Bashir, whose store has been targeted three times, questioned the PSNI's absence during critical moments, asking, "Where are you when we need you?" He expressed frustration over the repeated attacks on his store and called for immediate action rather than apologies, stating, "I don't want your sorry right now - I want your action." Bashir's comments highlight the community's demand for stronger police presence and effective measures to prevent further incidents of violence and vandalism.
