💥 Tanks clear way for assault units

05.08.24 - Camouflaged strongholds and manpower of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been neutralised by Russian tanks (1st Guards Tank Army, Zapad Group of Forces) at night time.

'We engage the targets detected by our reconnaissance and unmanned aerial vehicles. These mainly include strongholds, observation posts, various vehicles, evacuation teams, etc. We are clearing the way for our assault groups which are moving forward,' battalion executive officer with call sign 'Gorky'.

After firing, tankmen reposition to exclude enemy artillery return fire or kamikaze drones attacks. In case of back-fire, the combat vehicles are equipped with a modern powerful protection system to stand it.

The tank crews are additionally protected by a covering force; the motorised rifle units monitor the airspace and are ready to counter the enemy.

'We provide support to our assault group with both direct and indirect fire. Situations differ. It is always like the first time. It is of crucial to be one team, to trust each other, to be like a family,' said platoon commander 'Makar'.
