Depictions of Pharaohs and Hieroglyphs Found Underwater Near Aswan

During a diving expedition in the Nile River, archaeologists in Egypt uncovered rock carvings depicting several ancient Egyptian pharaohs, along with hieroglyphic inscriptions. A French-Egyptian team discovered the underwater carvings south of Aswan in an area that was flooded during the construction of the Aswan High Dam between 1960 and 1970.
