Ukraine has launched a surprise ground assault into Russia with troops and armored vehicles, Russian officials and independent military analysts said.

Russia said that up to 1,000 Ukrainian troops took part in the cross-border attack.

A lieutenant of the Ukrainian Armed Forces with the call sign "Alex" said that during two days of fighting in the Kursk region, the Russian Federation managed to capture about 300 Russian soldiers. He wrote about this in his Telegram channel.

According to the military man, active military operations in the "Kursk People's Republic" were carried out by a contingent of unidentified armed formations.

"According to confirmed data, about 300 captured f*ggots were taken, I hope they will hand them over to us," noted Lieutenant "Alex".

He explained that the occupiers have low motivation, they have no experience of combat. The Russians sat in the trenches where they were sent to "stick", without the desire to fight.
