MS01.08 He Came to Call Sinners

Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.” These are the people he surrounded himself with because all of us are born with Original Sin. Only Jesus and His Mother were without Original Sin. Jesus healed His mother prior to her birth so that she could be the vessel to bear Him. The rest of us, we are all sinners in need of a physician who can heal our being - body, mind, and soul. We need Jesus and so we find ourselves inside the doors of the church but lest we become like the self-righteous, we must never forget all humanity is on a journey at different stages finding their way to God's mercy and the Divine Healer. Everyone inside the Church doors is a sinner in need of a Savior!
