ONE THEORY HOW RUTHERGLEN GOT IT'S NAME?

This is just one theory of how the town of Rutherglen , near Glasgow in Scotland got it's name?
Disclaimer: I don't actually no myself, but I did hear this theory fairly recently.
Notice the mark on the wall just behind James? That plaque was telling the story of Rutherglen Castle and was stolen a couple of days after memorial rally to remember the history of the Castle. Rutherglen does have a bigger and more interesting history than people realise, thanks to the British unionist brainwashing and dumping down of most of the locals.
