Snake - A Good "Notta Rattler"

Odd (or perhaps not) that I was just thinking yesterday about not seeing very many snakes this year. All over the place Year One; "quite a few" last year but this year only a big garter like this on in rocks near the road. Then the two deceased bullsnakes further down Ten Mile, one of which was clearly killed by a rattlesnake (puffed up w/obvious fang marks).
Probably natural; they moved into area when place was unoccupied then my activity pushed them away. Fine with me. NO rattlers seen this year (yes, probably JINX) but this is a good reminder to always be alert.
