Israeli assault on Khan Younis: Thousands ordered to leave eastern part of the city

Thousands of Palestinians have been forced to flee the city of Khan Younis in southern Gaza. It comes as the Israeli military steps up its attacks there an area which has been designated as a so called humanitarian safe zone. At least 35 Palestinians were killed across the Strip on Friday.
The victims included six people in Al Mawasi west of Khan Younis, two of them children.
