Eyes Run Dry | Carry Me To The Ocean | Note 2 Self | Part 2

Confusing memories and emotions from the early stages of the onset of a cognitive and physical disability.

Would you hold my hand if I couldn't hold yours. Give me some time, listen to my voice. Though I cannot speak, would you walk my steps when my limbs stop working. Powerless to grasp control of these seized up tendons. Breath for me now, desperately cry out my panic and capture the breath I urgently need. Trap me some air for my lungs have stopped moving. Dig up my food getting trapped in my airways, choke on my saliva and drink down my drinks, vomit out my pills they get wedged in my throat. Wash out my hair and dry boney parched skin.

Dance with me now for I am asleep and dreaming, and if I wake please remind me, for I may not know where I am, tell me my story, share where I've been, light me a cigarette and tell me my name. I trust you will look after me, I don't have any other choice, my life is yours in your gifted hands. Laugh with me now, a joke of dignity is all I have left in this society. My eyes have run baron dry, far too much pain has been wasted on this desert soil we call home. Would you talk to my limbs when they're speaking to you. I don't like it when they move like that, it gives me away, you can shake my hand if you want but it's already shaking violently by itself. If you grab it fast enough you might even be able to hold it. Please take me to a church, I want to go home. Lay me down beneath the skyline stars, for it is the only place that makes any sense anymore. Carry me to the ocean where I find my sanity, in the crashing waves where I find my place. Far from the madness of a dinner party.
