The Indian Space Agency claims to have landed an unmanned spacecraft and deployed a rover on the Moon's South Pole. However, as with many such events, nearly 99% of the footage presented was clearly and evidently poor-quality CGI. Why do you think NASA, Roscosmos, the Chinese, Indian, and other space agencies invest in creating and broadcasting these computer-generated animations rather than providing actual video footage? How challenging would it be to equip these spacecraft with a few cameras to permanently record different angles throughout the entire flight? They reportedly managed to have a live telephone conversation between Nixon and the astronauts on the Moon over 50 years ago, yet despite half a century of technological advancements, we still can't receive live video from these rockets after just a few minutes of ascent.
