Romantic Fanfare for Timpani and Brass was inspired by the sound of the Romantic and Modern Eras, Anton Bruckner and Gustav Holst in particular. It was during the night of March 21st of 2024 when I experimented with the recording feature in the Synthesia piano program and came up with this idea, which came to mind and took a about few hours to record and arrange.

This was my first time working in a "DAW" like workflow, which I observed from a recent visit at recording studio (for a band). If anything, I would record an improv on piano or notate sheet music in my composition work flow. Would I try this workflow again with the Synthesia program? No, I would not! The available features are too limited in my opinion for a realistic workflow. Recording parts for a single instrument or layers of left and right hands for learning piano (although I personally wouldn't recommend it) is one thing, but layering several

I used Audacity to apply panning, EQ (sounds equalizers), StaffPad Hall Reverb, for remastering the audio into stereo. The mono audio was unsatisfactory so I made adjustments to take advantage of a wide and balanced stereo field. And as an additional bonus, I attempted a brief remaster with MuseScore Studio as I was curious to know how the playback would sound with Muse Sounds, and I'll add that it sounded better than anticipated. I then applied panning, EQ, the StaffPad Hall reverb, and several edits to the score for a semi-realistic playback.
