What makes 100% Wool Denim So Amazing?

In 2023, WeatherWool decided we wanted to take a stab at making the American classic, fabric known as denim. Instead of using heavy cotton as commonly used, we wove it with 100% American, 100%Weather Wool-certified fine wool.

WeatherWool Certified means it meets our requirements in
microns, strength, and length.

When we hear the word denim, many of us think of the rugged, durable cotton pants, also known as jeans. But denim is a twill weave. The main defining characteristic is that it uses dyed warp yarns while the weft yarns remain undyed. This gives the fabric a different look on both sides.

In this video we wanted to test out 100% wool denim fabric against a classic pair of blue jeans and see if in addition to all the great properties of wool, we could also out perform on durability.
