Since Balochistan was annexed by Pakistan in 1948 against the wishes of its people, the region has faced political repression and economic exploitation. The Baloch people have since endured underdevelopment, poverty, and poor living conditions, while their voices for independence have been violently suppressed by the Pakistani military.After this illegal occupation, the Baloch people, especially young students, began to resist for their freedom, leading to the birth of the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), one of the most well-known resistance movements in Balochistan.

As Balochistan marks its Independence Day on August 11th, a campaign is being launched to bring global attention to the suffering of the Baloch people. The goal is to expose the ongoing atrocities in Balochistan and seek international support for their struggle.
