Are selfies causing global warming?

People don't give it much of an after thought but thirst trap pictures, statuses, selfies etc etc etc all have a weak point in their accessibility. Every time you upload a picture to social media or it is kept in your cloud accounts, where ever that picture is kept requires it to be kept on redundant systems to ensure it runs all the time. Also it requires redundant air conditioning/hvac to keep it from over heating.

People born in my generation and prior in the previous century are more than likely to store it locally on a computer or a usb backup drive. People born between the date range of 1998 and 2006 are more than likely to embrace the internet and overshare. Will the behavior of people change? I can only theorize the grand children born of the children of the people born at the beginning of this century will realize that it needs to change. In the present, the cloud isn't green. The internet isn't green and AI isn't green.
