TONGUES: The Key to SUPERNATURAL Rest - The Incense of Rest!

Isaiah 28:11-12; Hebrews 4:1-9; Isaiah 40:28-30; Leviticus 1:9; Acts 3:19

I. Isaiah 28:11-12 - praying in your supernatural prayer language gives supernatural rest from God.

2. Acts 3:19 - The Christian life is called "times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord. Those times of refreshing come from praying daily in your prayer langauge.

3. Hebrews 4:1-9 - We enter into rest by praying in our prayer tongue.

4. Isaiah 40:28-30 As we pray daily in our prayer tongue we exchange our strength for His.

5. In Acts 2:1-4 on the day of Pentecost the Holy Spirit came upon the believers in the upper room and fire sat upon each of them. These believers were the new living sacrifices that God's fire fell upon. As they prayed in tongues, it was, and is, the new incense that arises from the living sacrifices back to God.

6. Leviticus 1:9 when the burnt offering was consumed by the holy fire of God, the aroma of the burnt sacrifice that ascneded back to God was a "sweet smelling savor". The Hebrew word is from the root word "Noah" which means rest. As we pray in our prayer tongue it ascends up to God as a a sweet smelling aroma of rest. We fill the atmosphere of our homes, cars, churches and businesses with the aroma of the finished work of Christ. It is a reminder to Satan and his defeated demons, that the work of Christ is finished and we are redeemed!
