Greetings. This is Ray Hightower speaking to you from the great state of Arizona. And maybe you're thinking Arizona, but there's a lake behind Yes, we have lakes in Arizona, and I can tell you more about that later.

Right now, I'm thinking about feedback, feedback that we get when we ask someone for feedback on it could be a design that we're working on, or a product that we're working on, or a piece of marketing material, or anything that we're working on. We're getting feedback from our associates or friends or people whom we trust, and the feedback. Sometimes, when they give us feedback, they're not necessarily telling us.

The person giving feedback is not necessarily telling us, necessarily telling us what they like, but rather, they maybe telling us what is familiar to them. And when we are receiving the feedback, we need to apply that filter to whatever they are telling us, because if you as an entrepreneur, are doing something that is really unconventional, if you're really out there, if you're doing something truly innovative and unconventional, it will not be familiar to the person who you have asked for feedback, and anything they say to you will be filtered through a lens of familiarity, not necessarily what they like or dislike, but what is familiar to them and what is not familiar to them.

I'm going to process this further in future videos, but I wanted to share it with you now, when we get feedback from someone, we must ask ourselves, are they telling us what they like or dislike, or are they simply communicating what is familiar to them. This is Ray Hightower. Be well.
